The government has obliged to increase the salaries of doctors who work in the combat zone, near the front line and provide emergency medical care in these areas. This is reported in the Ministry of Health. Salaries should increase for: doctors, pharmacists, rehabilitation specialists, nurses, junior medical workers. Photo: Lighthunter/Depositphotos In areas of active hostilities, the salary of the specified list of medical workers must be at least UAH 28,000 – for doctors, pharmacists, health care professionals and professionals with higher non-medical education in the health care field; UAH 18,000 – for nurses and nurses; UAH 9,000 for junior medical workers. At the same time, medics working in the front-line areas should receive at least: 23,000 hryvnias – for doctors, pharmacists, healthcare professionals and professionals with higher non-medical education in healthcare; 15,500 hryvnias – for nurses and nursing assistants; 8,000 hryvnias for junior medical workers. Front-line territories are determined by the Ministry of Reintegration. The list can be found at the link. The Ministry of Health stated that the salary increase is a step to ensure that doctors, who perform their duties in dangerous conditions with a constant risk to life and health, are provided with a decent salary.
