In the afternoon, the girls’ father called the rescuers and reported that his 2- and 3-year-old daughters had locked themselves in the apartment from the inside. A 3-year-old girl fell out of the window of the apartment during the emergency breaking of the door. The girl who fell from the window did not suffer any fractures, but is currently in intensive care under the supervision of doctors. In a comment to “UP. Life”, the spokeswoman for the Vinnytsia police, Zarina Majevska, reported that the 3-year-old child leaned her hands on the mosquito net and fell out of the window. “Parents took things out of the apartment to the street and while they were going down and up, the children locked themselves in the apartment,” the spokeswoman said. According to her, following the fact of the incident, the police started a pre-trial investigation under the article on malicious failure to fulfill parental duties. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of restriction of liberty for a period of 2 to 5 years or deprivation of liberty for the same period. However, if the child’s condition is satisfactory, the parents may be fined, the spokeswoman clarified.
