Jewish students sued Harvard University: accused of anti-Semitism

Several Jewish students have filed a lawsuit against Harvard University, accusing it of becoming a “fortress of rampant anti-Jewish hatred and persecution.”

Among the plaintiffs are members of the Students Against Anti-Semitism organization. They accuse Harvard University of violating the civil rights of Jewish students, writes The Guardian.

In December 2023, students from the Art Institute of Chicago, New York University and the University of Pennsylvania filed a similar lawsuit.

Mobs of pro-Hamas students and faculty marched on Harvard’s campus, chanting vile anti-Semitic slogans and calling for the death of Jews and Israel.

They occupied buildings, classrooms, libraries, student lounges, plazas, and classrooms, often for days or weeks at a time, promoting violence against Jews“, the lawsuit states.

Pro-Palestinian demonstrations at Harvard University erupted immediately after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7. During the protests, the demonstrators even occupied one of the buildings of the university for a whole day.

Harvard itself has not yet officially commented on the lawsuit. It is known that about a dozen students could potentially be brought to disciplinary responsibility for violating protest rules related to pro-Palestinian activities.

We will remind, recently the president of Harvard University, Claudine Gay, resigned after accusations of plagiarism in her doctoral dissertation.
