Kicked in the head: in the Kyiv region, a 12-year-old girl was beaten by her peers
In the village of Rokytne in the Kyiv region, a quarrel took place between schoolgirls, after which two minors beat a 12-year-old girl.
So far, the event has been classified as hooliganism (Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code), the police of the Kyiv region reported.
As the National Police of the region said in a comment to “Ukrainian Truth. Life”, law enforcement officers became aware of the incident when a schoolgirl who was not involved in the conflict showed them a video of the beating.
“So far we know about 2 attackers. Kryvdnyts was taken to the police department, they were interviewed, the pre-trial investigation is ongoing“, – says Yana Yermolenko, a specialist in the communication department of the GUNP in the Kyiv region.

According to her, the injured child is currently in a medical facility, undergoing a proper examination, so the law enforcement officers are waiting for the doctors’ report.
On the video, which reached the law enforcement officers, one of the participants in the conflict can be seen continuing to kick the girl on the head even when she is lying on the ground and covering her head with her hands.
“The guilty will definitely be punished, the most severe punishment in this case – restriction of freedom for up to 5 years. But this is already a matter of investigation, the verdict will be assigned by the court“, Yermolenko specified.
