1,056 state educational institutions are ready for the new academic year in Kyiv. They are ready to accept more than 405.8 thousand children and youth of different age categories. This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration. In general, according to the KMVA, shelters have already been provided to: 83% of preschool education institutions; 91% of schools; 95% of vocational and technical education institutions; 75% of institutions of professional pre-higher and higher education. Therefore, it is planned to equip additional shelters in 437 educational institutions in the capital. As of August 1, work was completed in 105 shelters. KMVA notes that they will arrange their own underground shelters for several schools – these will be pilot projects. They should be done by the end of the year. “Forms and formats of training will be chosen based on the results of the work carried out and the increase of places in the shelters,” the KMVA added. We will remind you that there are practically no shelters in schools in Mykolaiv. But children are eager to return to offline lessons. Therefore, “Ukrainian Pravda” together with the international charity fund savED opened a collection for shelter for 55 lyceums so that children could continue their studies in safety.
