In recent days, fires of dry grass have become more frequent in various regions of Ukraine in open areas.

This is often related to the economic activity of a person, because with the increase in air temperature, Ukrainians begin to organize their surroundings and burn dry stubble, the State Emergency Service reports.

According to the rescuers, 56 fires broke out in ecosystems covering a total area of more than 48 hectares in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in the past day alone.

Rescuers also extinguished fires at:

  • Donetsk region (19 occupations in natural ecosystems and on open territory);

  • Kirovohrad Oblast (5 trips to quench drought);

  • Kharkiv Oblast (16 times);

  • Vinnytsia 4 (times);

  • Zaporozhye (5 occupations of natural ecosystems).

The rescuers remind that for setting dry grass on fire, the law stipulates a fine of 3,060 to 6,120 hryvnias.
