NAU appointed acting rector instead of the mobilized Lutskyi

Former Deputy Minister of Education Oleksiy Shkuratov was appointed temporary acting rector of the National Aviation University.
This was reported in the educational institution.
As noted by the university, NAU rector Maksym Lutskyi was mobilized to the ranks of the Armed Forces, where he began his military service. Earlier, Lutskyi himself announced his decision to serve in the army, in the ranks of the Air Defense Forces.
The rector’s statement about mobilization appeared after the government expressed its intention to reorganize the institution.
Oleksiy Shkuratov, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and Innovative Development of NAU, will perform the rector’s duties during Lutskyi’s term of office.

Oleksiy Shkuratov was born on December 31, 1985 in the village of Kyrylivka, Zaporizhzhia region. Before being appointed to NAU, he was Deputy Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet for European integration. After the appointment of Oxen Lisovoy Shkuratov as Minister of Forestry, he was dismissed from his post.
It is also known that Acting rector of NAU worked as vice-rector for scientific work and innovative development of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture.
The website of the university states that Shkuratov wrote more than 120 scientific papers, including 7 monographs. Since 2018, he has been a member of the expert council on the examination of dissertation works of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine on the problems of sectoral development and entrepreneurship.
As we reported, according to the legislation, Lutsky’s workplace must be kept during service. Also, due to service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the court can suspend any proceedings and cases against a person, in particular criminal ones.
We will remind, Maksym Lutskyi was a member of the Party of Regions. In 2019, he ran for parliament from the now-banned OPZZ party.
Lutskyi headed NAU in 2021 after Serhiy Shkarlet became Minister of Education and Science.
