On December 6, Ukrainians celebrate the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

And for the first time since independence, Saint Nicholas Day is celebrated on this day (according to the New Julian calendar, which the Orthodox Church of Ukraine switched to).

The Department of Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the General Staff have already congratulated Ukrainians on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Saint Nicholas’ Day by sharing a touching video greeting.

The video was created by Ukrainian companies and artists on a volunteer basis.

“This year, for the first time, Ukrainians celebrate two holidays together – the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and St. Nicholas. This fact inspired the authors of the video to create a warm and kind story in which children thank their relatives – defenders, and ask to protect our common home – Ukraine, and, of course, St. Nicholas: “To bring gifts”, – writes StratCom.

Video greetings on the Day of the Armed Forces “from St. Nicholas” were also published by the 12th separate brigade of army aviation named after Corporal General Viktor Pavlenko on Facebook.

“Saint Nicholas will bring special gifts to the invaders on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the birds of the army aviation will help him in this”– say the military.

Volunteer Ihor Lachenkov also congratulated the military on the holiday:

“Today is the Day of the Best. The Day of the Unbreakable, the Day of Steel, the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. If it weren’t for them, we wouldn’t exist. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Without them, we don’t exist. They are all we have now and everything that we have been relying on for these ten years. Everything that separates us from the hell that they took upon themselves, went there instead of us. And they are still in it. Each one separately, in his own hell, with his own pain. Hundreds of thousands of brave Ukrainians , who did not lack the spirit to stand to the end.”

He called on Ukrainians to do everything to make the fight easier for the military.

“We rely on them, but they also need us to keep fighting. Please don’t be shy and salute each and every military member today, thank them and ask how you can help.”Lachen added.

Artist Nikita Titov congratulated Ukrainians on two significant dates with new illustrations.

“Friends, hugs and thanks! Glory to the Armed Forces!” – wrote the artist.

Journalist Nataliya Bushkovska congratulated the Armed Forces and reminded that thanks to the military, children can celebrate St. Nicholas Day.

“With all my love for Mykolaychyk, today is the day of those who do real miracles. The Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thank you to everyone who defends me and my children! May all forces protect you.

Never, never forget, thanks to whom our children can enjoy the winter holidays here in Ukraine. Despite all the predictions, all the hypotheses and all the despair – I know that we will stand… But we must help this miracle happen. Even in fairy tales, nothing happens without human effort and will”– Natalya wrote.

“Saint Nicholas brought the Armed Forces of Ukraine under our pillow! Glory! Thank you”, – also added the creative manager of the native department of UP Khrystyna Golovko.

And this holiday “card” from artificial intelligence was shared by a serviceman Vadim IV Anatoliyovych.

“Two dates coincided. Children’s favorite holiday is St. Nicholas’ Day and those thanks to which St. Nicholas will come to our children, not Santa Claus.

One social philosopher said that “We must ensure the existence of our people and the future of our children.” Therefore, the best gift for children today will be the support of the Armed Forces, which are the only guarantor of the future of Ukrainian children. Happy holiday!” – Vadim signed the photo.

The soldiers were also thanked a lot on Twitter.

“Today Mykolay walks around Ukraine only thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, because he would have been Santa Claus on December 31 long ago”wrote Housepainter user.

“The holiday is approaching! Saint Nicholas looks like this this year! Thank you to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for another day”added Lara-Lara.

We will remind, earlier our Armed Forces were touchingly congratulated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhnyi.
