After a large-scale fire, one of the most important monuments of France, the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris, will be equipped with a unique fire protection system.

This was announced by the president of the public organization Rebuilding Notre-Dame de Paris Philippe Jost, writes The Local France.

According to him, the cathedral will be equipped with an evaporation system installed under the roof and on the spire. It will immediately stop the spread of any fire.

“All precautionary measures have been taken for a complete review of fire protection,” – noted Philip Jost.

We will remind, the fire in Notre Dame de Paris happened on April 15, 2019. Then the spire of the Cathedral collapsed, but the walls and the altar survived. It is still unknown what caused the fire. Investigators believe it was an accident. Versions regarding an electrical malfunction or leaving an unextinguished cigarette unattended were also considered.
