OCU did not canonize Patron the dog – the Center for Strategic Communications denied the fake

Rumors appeared online that the Orthodox Church of Ukraine canonized the star dog Patron.

This is not true, the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security emphasizes.

“Lie: in the church belonging to the OCU, instead of the royal gate, an icon with the dog Patronus was inserted on the iconostasis. According to the head of the OCU Epiphanius, the canonization of the dog will help attract more believers to the church, in particular, children, Russian Telegram channels write.

The truth: neither representatives of the OCU, nor Ukrainian- or English-speaking media wrote about the canonization of Patron the dog.– the department writes.

Also, there are no comments of Metropolitan Epiphanius on this topic in the mass media or social networks, VoxCheck journalists noted.

The image of the icon, which was allegedly displayed in the temple, was created by fraudsters with the help of artificial intelligence, which was confirmed by the Hive Moderation tool.

We will remind you that earlier the Ministry of Health refuted fakes of the Russian Federation about the sale of children for organs and monkeypox as a “side effect” of vaccination.
