Odesa dolphinarium “Nemo” got into a scandal because of photo shoots with animals in hotel rooms

Odesa dolphinarium “Nemo” was accused of cruelty to animals. This happened after a video with fur seals, taken by customers in hotel rooms, appeared on social networks. In one of the videos, a girl is playing with two seals in a room overlooking the sea, and in another, an exhausted seal is lying on a bed. After such videos, indignant comments from users began to appear on the dolphinarium’s page: “Shame, for such treatment of animals!”, “How is it possible? Thank God it never stopped with you,” etc. However, later the comments from the Nemo social network page disappeared. On the website of the dolphinarium, there is also no such service as taking an animal into a room. There are only photo sessions with animals, dolphin therapy and others. The animal protection organization “UAnimals” reported that they had contacted the police about animal cruelty. “We received a flurry of messages and thousands of signs with a request to prevent abuse of animals. We consider such a situation unacceptable, so we immediately filed a report with the police under Part 12 of Article 25 of the Law of Ukraine, which prohibits providing photo services with wild animals outside zoos, circuses and dolphinariums.” , the organization says. “Ukrainian Pravda. Life” requested comments from the Nemo dolphinarium and we are waiting for a response.
