“Only offenders are guilty”: the ombudsman condemned bloggers who abused girls

Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets condemned young men who organized drunken parties and filmed naked girls and asked the police and the Prosecutor General to investigate the story with the bloggers. “Outraged by the shocking content on social networks, when a group of young men invited girls to parties, induced them to drink alcohol and possibly psychotropic substances, made them unconscious, and then committed acts of a sexual nature,” says the ombudsman. Dmytro Lubinets also thanked the National Police, which promptly searched the persons involved and opened criminal proceedings. The ombudsman expressed concern that content filmed by bloggers is in demand and accepted in our society, as some have expressed the view that the victims themselves are to blame for this situation. The Ombudsman emphasized that any violent acts of a sexual nature are prohibited by national and international law. As a reminder, it was reported in social networks that in Kyiv young people organized parties where girls were offered alcohol and tranquilizers. And then they ran streams with naked girls and probably committed acts of an intimate nature. The police have already searched the bloggers’ apartments. The authors of the content themselves deny their guilt and say that they did not force the girls to drink alcohol.
