This year, on February 14, on Valentine’s Day, 1️1️3️2 couples got married. The oldest bride and groom from the Dnipropetrovsk region are 72 and 83 years old, respectively.
This was reported by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
A couple who have been living together for 25 years got married in the Mykolayiv region. They submitted an application in January and chose this date for marriage, the Ministry of Justice notes.
They add: there were much more people willing to get married than planned. In particular, 537 applications were submitted by brides the day before the holiday, because during martial law, certain categories of citizens can get married on the day of application submission.
We will remind you that Kyiv became the leader in terms of the number of submitted applications for marriage registration on this day. 111 couples got married in the capital.
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (70 marriages) was in second place, followed by Odesa Oblast (64 marriages).
The west of Ukraine was also not far behind: 44 couples got married in the Lviv region.
