Parents can choose the form of their child’s education at school: where to apply

[ad_1]

If the school refuses to transfer the child to any form of education, parents can appeal to the education authorities. The family should be offered another school, the Ministry of Education and Science reports. The Ministry of Education and Culture stated that since the beginning of the new academic year, there has been an increase in appeals from parents that schools refuse to enroll or transfer their children to family, external and distance education. “If the school does not have the possibility of distance learning, the parents or other legal representatives of the child should contact the local education management body with a request to suggest another school for distance learning,” the department notes. At the same time, parents or other legal representatives of the child have the right to choose any form of education in other schools and are not obliged to transfer their children to study under the program of the Ukrainian-language component. The ministry reminds that Ukrainian schools provide all forms of education and parents of students can choose any of them. According to the legislation, full general secondary education can be obtained by: full-time (full-time); remote; network; external; family (home); or a form of teaching of pedagogical patronage. Earlier we reported that the level of knowledge in online education decreased in rural regions.
