Volunteers already have a database of verified IDP families who send them information about their children’s wishes and dreams.
Then the organizers of the project pass on the personal requests of the children to the participants who wanted to become a “personal Nicholas”. They prepare a gift by December 25 for a specific child and send it “straight under the pillow” – to the specified address.
Most often, children ask for construction kits, books, puzzles, dolls, musical instruments, cars, sets of beads, jewelry, board games, etc.
It is also possible share your child’s things and toys. However, items must be in good condition and without defects.
Participants of the initiative can also make a donation to support IDP families. The organizers note that part of the funds will be used to purchase gifts for children, and the rest will be used for basic necessities.
According to the organizers, in 2022, thanks to the project, it was possible to fulfill 1,008 children’s dreams by St. Nicholas Day.
