Pink flamingos have flown to the Tuzlovsk estuary national natural park in Odesa. At first, the birds circled over the reserve, and later landed on the lakes of Academician Zaitsev, the park’s Facebook page reports. Life”, a researcher of the park, biologist Ivan Rusev said that pink flamingos can fly to any salty estuary where there is food. “Every year, they stay longer and longer in our reserve. This year, we have been observing them for more than a month,” the biologist said. According to his forecasts, flamingos will probably be in the national park all summer. Photo: Ivan Rusev In “Tuzlovsk estuaries” it is also noted that the birds are now in a protected area – on the lakes of academician Yuvenaliy Zaitsev, which is forbidden to visit, especially during the war. “This is a natural ecosystem of small inland lakes near a sandbank in the lowlands of the Alibey estuary on the border with the Shagany and Karachaus estuaries,” the reserve adds.
