Policemen evacuated from the border of Chernihiv Oblast a couple of pensioners whose house was destroyed by Russian shelling.

A man and his wife lived in the village of Leonivka, Novgorod-Siversky district, law enforcement officers said on social networks.

At the time of the shelling, the owner of the house was at home, and his wife went to Semenivka on business.

However, the woman had nowhere to return to – as a result of the attack, the house became unlivable.

“At first I heard a loud explosion somewhere nearby. And then the Russians hit right at our house. The roof was blown off, the walls were cut. I miraculously survived.” – says the owner of the house, Volodymyr.

It was dangerous to stay in the village – Leonivka is located a kilometer from the Russian border and constantly suffers from enemy shelling.

So the policemen suggested the couple to evacuate.
