The police informed about the suspicion of a 25-year-old woman from Lviv who defrauded more than 60 people by offering to rent houses and cottages in the Carpathians.
As reported by the police of the Khmelnytskyi region, the woman placed an advertisement for renting a holiday home in the Carpathians on various websites.
“In order to order a place for rest, the woman demanded to pay the cost of housing one or two days in advance. Therefore, the prepayment was from 2,000 hryvnias. There were also those who immediately paid for the entire rest“, the police said.
After receiving the funds, the woman turned off the phone, blocked callers or continued communication and even sent “guests” the geolocation of the cottage.

However, when people arrived at this place, they saw that such a house did not exist, and the phone number of the “landlady” was out of range.
The woman was charged with Fraud, but the punishment is currently unknown. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
