After the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP, the Kazkova Dibrova Zoo in Nova Kakhovka was flooded. About 300 animals lived in it. On June 7, the zoo’s Facebook page reported that some of the animals were at the home of one of the workers at the time of the disaster. In particular, it was possible to save parrots, squirrels, chinchillas and guinea pigs. “Yesterday, the workers, being in a state of shock, gave me not entirely accurate information. Some animals were not on the territory of Dibrova, but were at home in Vala. That is why they remained alive! Our favorite parrot Venya, flying squirrels, ferrets, parrots, chinchillas and guinea pigs will be protected from the flood,” Kazkova Dibrova reported. We will remind, on June 6, animal rights activists said that only birds – swans and ducks – could be saved from the flooded zoo in Nova Kakhovka.
