In the village of Avangard in the Odesa region, military man Yuriy Glodan, who died at the front in September 2023, was laid to rest.
The fighter went to fight after his wife, daughter and mother-in-law were killed in April 2022 as a result of a rocket hitting a residential complex in Odesa.
As reported in the Avangard village council, having lost the most precious thing, Yuriy decided to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“This soldier is a real stormtrooper who went into battle without hesitation or hesitation and always performed combat tasks flawlessly. During his service in the unit “Nabat” (call sign Yuriy) showed himself as a courageous soldier and a true comrade.
He mastered weapons and was one of the best shooters in the company. Not knowing fear, he destroyed the enemy who came to our land. Friend “Nabat” is a man of steel with a kind heart!”, – the brothers tell about Yuriy.

The man died in September 2023. During the mortar shelling, he received non-life-threatening injuries. His death was reported in November by a friend of the fighter Oleksandr Yakovenko, with whom they previously worked together.
Yury Glodan is survived by his parents and younger sister.
The defender was buried next to his wife Valeria, daughter Kira, who was only three months old at the time of his death, and mother-in-law Lyudmila at the local cemetery.
