In Lviv, the training of military and civilians who have completely lost their sight as a result of the war, and their attendants, has begun. After graduation, they will also be provided with support at their place of residence.

As reported by the Ministry of Education and Science, training takes place within the framework of the “Touch Point” project. It is free and will last for four weeks.

Training involves:

  • mastery of spatial and social and household orientation;
  • getting to know the Braille relief dot system;
  • work with information technologies and applications that provide access to communication and information;
  • orientation in small and large spaces using a cane and GPS navigation.

“The idea of the program is not just to teach, but to help you feel that you are not alone on this difficult and long path of adaptation to the new realities of life.” – emphasized in the ministry.

After training in Lviv, experts will come to the military’s home and help them consolidate the acquired skills in an environment that is already familiar to them.
