In Chernihiv, a minor child who asked for help on social networks was taken from her mother. The corresponding decision was made at an extraordinary session of the Chernihiv City Council on April 25. It is probably about the oldest mother of Ukraine, 78-year-old Valentina Pidverbna and her 12-year-old daughter Anna-Maria. In her social networks, the girl published a post in which she confessed to the abuse of her mother. “Mom takes off my underwear and socks, tears my clothes, she doesn’t let me wash and wash my things. She also scratches and hits me. I’m just tired of it… I don’t hear normal words from her, only mothering and name-calling all the time: she says I’m a fool, fuck, etc.,” said the child. Also, the girl published a video in which she tells her mother that she needs eye surgery because she suffers from strabismus. In response to this, the woman said that she “will not do the operation.” After seeing the post, law enforcement officers and social service workers went to the scene. “During the conversation, the minor confirmed the information she provided in the publication and asked to be taken away from her mother,” said the at. Oleksandr Lomako, Mayor of Chernigov. During the inspection, the police of the Chernihiv region found that the child lives in improper sanitary and hygienic conditions and is subjected to domestic violence. The child was removed, now she is under the supervision of doctors. “The child has already been examined by a specialist, no injuries were found. She was removed, she is in the hospital,” Oleksandr Lomako added. An administrative protocol was drawn up against the child’s mother for neglect of duties and domestic violence. The head of the Children’s Department in Chernihiv, Olena Zinchenko, said that a lawsuit will be filed in court within seven days. During this time, the child will be in the hospital. “Depending on what decision the court makes, the issue of further placement will be considered. If the court accepts the removal of the child without deprivation, then we will offer the child the status of a child deprived of parental care, in accordance with the resolution, and we will place him in family forms of upbringing.” Zinchenko said. In general, this is not the mother’s first offense. In November, Valentina Pidverbna received two administrative reports: for failure to fulfill parental duties and psychological violence. Later, the court closed the case. We will remind, in Kyiv, the police seized a 5-month-old son from a woman who was raising him in an abandoned unfinished building.
