For the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, a Ukrainian band DahaBraha released a new solo song – “I have a lump in my throat”. The video and photos of families hiding in shelters during air raids were used in the clip.

Previously, the group asked to send “family photos” of Ukrainians who are experiencing Russian aerial and drone bombings, informs edition of The Village Ukraine.

The idea is to once again remind everyone of the conditions Ukrainians live in today, and that we still need the support of the civilized world“, – commented band members

The song is performed in Ukrainian, but English subtitles were used in the video, because DakhaBrakha has a wide audience abroad.

It also became known that DahaBrakha recorded 4 new songs at the beginning of 2024. Band member Marko Galanevich told, that the composition “U gorli kom” was written during rehearsals that lasted a week. He also added that this song is not part of the band’s creativity, but it was approved by the entire team.

We would like to remind the world about the conditions under which Ukrainians have been living for the past two years. And also to again ask for the support of both ordinary people and the governments of Western countries“, the musician said.

In addition, at the end of the clip DahaBrah was urged to sign the petition of the Center for Civil Liberties Make Russia Pay. This initiative proposes to transfer to Ukraine frozen Russian funds, which are kept mainly in the countries of the “Big Seven” (G7). The money is planned to be used for support and reconstruction.
