The case of the rape of a cow in the village of Antonina in Khmelnytskyi region was referred to the court. It will be considered by the Krasylivsky District Court of the Khmelnytskyi Region, reports the animal protection organization UAnimals. In a comment to “UP. Life”, Khmelnytskyi Oblast police spokeswoman Inna Gleha said that the case was sent to court at the end of August. It will be recalled that in May, a man mocked a cow: he tied it to a tractor and dragged it along the ground by its horns. Later, the doctor found out that the cow had been raped and her teeth had been knocked out. Then the law enforcement officers closed the proceedings, but after publicity, the investigation was resumed. The accused faces restriction of liberty for 1-3 years or deprivation of liberty for 2-3 years (Part 1, p. 299 of the Criminal Code – on cruelty to animals). Now the condition of the cow has stabilized, animal rights activists say. “UAnimals joined this case with legal support and financially helped with the treatment of the cow. We hope that the court will bring this case to an adequate solution,” UAnimals added. Read also: In Kyiv, a criminal case was opened over the poisoning of kittens
