Deputy head of VIKNU Gennadiy Nikolaychuk turned out to be an ex-candidate from the “Party of Sharia”

Gennady Nikolaychuk, who once ran for the Council from the pro-Russian Sharia Party, was dismissed from his position as the head of the Department of Journalism at the Military Institute of KNU. Shevchenko.

This is reported by “Media Detector” with reference to two own sources in VIKNU. Nikolaychuk was allegedly removed from his post “under the pressure of publicity.”

According to “Detektor”, the university’s management conducts interviews with candidates for the post of vice-department.

At the same time, the military institute has not yet confirmed or denied this information.

Later, journalists discovered, that in 2019 Nikolaychuk ran for the Verkhovna Rada on the lists of the Sharia Party. The public movement “CHESNO” provided “Detektor” with a scan from the web archive, which confirms this.

The pro-Russian force did not pass the parliament, so Nikolaychuk returned to the activities of the head of the international relations group of the Central Sports Club of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The man is a boxing master, vice-president of the Kyiv Boxing Federation and owner of the “Country of Sports” Charitable Foundation. It is also known that in 2017 he wrote a book about the coach of the Klitschko brothers.

We will remind you, Anatoly Shariy is a pro-Russian blogger, who lives in Spain and has been engaged in pro-Russian propaganda for more than 10 years. In 2019, he created his own “Sharia Party”, however the pro-Russian force gained only 2.23% of votes.

It was opened in July 2020 proceedings regarding the ban on the activities of the political party “Sharia Party”.

In 2021 Sharia was informed about the suspicion under the article about high treason and violation of the equality of citizens. According to the investigation, he cooperated with Russia since 2012 and helped state authorities conduct special information operations against Ukraine.

In 2022, the Supreme Court is finally final forbade activity of the political force “Sharia Party” on the territory of Ukraine. In May of the same year, the propagandist himself was detained in Spain at the request of Ukraine, but was later released on recognizance.

In Ukraine, Sharia was repeatedly prosecuted for high treason. In particular, last year he was informed of another suspicion for a propaganda video about prisoners of war.

According to the SBU, Shariy received a video of the interrogation of two captured Ukrainian soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, edited them, added comments and published them. Subsequently, the Russian Federation used this propaganda to discredit the leadership of Ukraine.
