Andriy Beznosenko, the former chief physician of the National Cancer Institute, will continue his medical activities at the institution, and his resignation is not related to the reorganization of the institution. The former chief doctor told about this in a comment to “Ukrainian Pravda. Life”. According to Andrii Beznosenko, the main goal of his work as the chief physician was to work on transforming the NIR into an autonomous medical institution, so that it would be possible to conclude a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine. “My goal, which I joined with my colleagues, was realized, and it was the main one in the position in recent times,” the doctor noted. Andriy Beznosenko Andriy Beznosenko says that currently the work of the chief physician is more related to documentation and organization of processes, and it will be quite difficult to combine it with surgical and operational activities. “I decided to concentrate on surgery, scientific activity and international cooperation, however, I will support the new leadership in the changes taking place at the institute. There is no need to look for secret conspiracies and agreements in my decision. This is my conscious decision after 7 years of work. The next stage of my professional life will be directly related to medical processes,” says Andriy Beznosenko. The former chief physician of NIRU reported that Andriy Turchyn, the former director of the Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital, was appointed as his successor. “He is a well-known organizer of the health care system in the medical community, a former head of a successful medical institution, which under his leadership successfully cooperated with the National Health Service. I am sure that this position belongs to him and he is absolutely competent to work as the medical director of the NIR.” – says the doctor. Andriy Beznosenko also assured patients that he is not leaving medicine and will remain working at the institute. “I am always happy to help everyone who applies. I continue to work as a doctor, provide consultation and operate. Life presents us with new challenges, but this will not affect my medical activity and patient care,” says the doctor. It will be recalled that Andrii Beznosenko, the chief physician of the National Cancer Institute, resigned after 7 years of work. In January 2023, the National Cancer Institute signed an agreement with the National Health Service of Ukraine, which, in particular, means providing free medicines and services to patients under the medical guarantee program.
