In the Ternopil region, the pre-trial investigation in the case of sexual violence against a 12-year-old girl was completed. According to the investigation, it was committed by the founder of a religious organization.
As reported by “UP. Life” in the Association of Women Lawyers “YurFem”, during the pre-trial investigation the law enforcement officers obtained enough evidence to change the suspicion in the case and new qualification of the committed crime. Now the offender faces life imprisonment.
“The man met the girl through social networks and, having entered into trust, made proposals for meetings to achieve certain goals.
Later, during these meetings, he committed lewd and sexual acts against the minor,” lawyer Lilia Stunder said.
The suspect remains in custody. A court hearing will follow.
The man faces imprisonment for a term of 15 years or life, the association added.
It will be recalled that at the end of July, a man contacted the Association and said that his daughter had suffered from sexual acts by a man unknown to him.
He did not know how to act properly, since such actions had been taking place for a long time and, according to his daughter, with her consent.
Later, the perpetrator was taken into custody.
