The doctors of the St. Nicholas Hospital told how they managed to save a teenager who received a bullet wound on May 31. They note that the boy’s life is not in danger at the moment, the First Medical Association of Lviv reported. However, the heart of 14-year-old Dmytro from Lviv stopped several times on the way to the hospital. Doctors performed a large-scale operation to save him: they stopped the bleeding, removed part of the torn lung and fragments from the rest of the organ. With our physical therapists, he is rehabilitating his right hand, which almost did not function after the injury. The teenager is regaining his strength, and the wound in the chest is healing quickly,” the hospital said. Doctors add that the boy dreams of returning to sports.
