The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science has named the list of compulsory subjects for students studying abroad

Children abroad who go to local schools will learn not only the Ukrainian language and the history of Ukraine remotely. This was reported in the Ministry of Education and Science. “The program will help maintain the connection of these children with Ukraine and gently return to our education system after returning home. Five schools will be determined in each region, each of which can have either one or several classes,” explained Deputy Minister of Education and Science Andriy Stashkiv . Grades 5-9: Ukrainian language; Ukrainian literature; Introduction to the history of Ukraine and civic education (grade 5); History of Ukraine. World history (6th grade); History of Ukraine (grades 7–9); Fundamentals of jurisprudence (grade 9); Geography (grades 8–9). Grades 10-11: Ukrainian language; Ukrainian literature; History of Ukraine; Civic education (10th grade); Geography (grade 11); Defense of Ukraine. If necessary, students will also be able to receive individual consultations with teachers: 1 per week for students in grades 1-4 and two for grades 5-11. We will remind that the MES decided to simplify the education of Ukrainian children abroad. In order to reduce the workload, subjects were chosen that would have to be attended additionally in order to receive a document on education from a Ukrainian school.
