Over the past week, more than 163,000 Ukrainians, including almost 90,000 children, fell ill with flu, SARS, and coronavirus. Of these, more than two thousand adult patients and almost three thousand children were hospitalized.

However, in the Ministry of Health declare, that the peak incidence of SARS has passed. In particular, last week the number of patients decreased by 17.8% among adults and by 11.9% among children compared to data from previous weeks.

They also note that from February 19 to 25, nine patients died from complications of the flu: six of them – in Kyiv (the patients were aged 42 to 86 years), two – in the Zhytomyr region (the deceased were 56 and 67 years old) and one – in Ternopil Region (43 years old).

In addition, almost two thousand new cases of infection with COVID-19 were recorded last week. The most infected people were found in three regions – Zhytomyr, Rivne and Khmelnytskyi. More than half a thousand adults and almost a hundred children needed inpatient treatment. 18 patients died.

In total, since the beginning of the epidemic season, SARS has already infected almost 3.3 million people, which is 9.1% of the total population of the country. Most of them are children (54.2%).

The number of cases of morbidity COVID-19 during this time it reached more than 140 thousand. 761 people died, including four minors.
