The rector of the occupation “Dal Luhansk University” was sentenced to 10 years behind bars.
This was reported in the General Prosecutor’s Office.
The Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office filed the public indictment.
In court, the prosecutor proved that the rector of the so-called Volodymyr Dahl Luhansk University took an active part in the preparation and holding of the pseudo-referendum.

According to the investigation, in July 2022, an “official” organized a meeting of the so-called “second composition of the People’s Chamber of the People’s Republic of China” in the premises of the university. At this meeting, a decision was made to create a headquarters that would conduct the “referendum”.
The rector of Luhansk University provided the premises of the educational institution for voting and the placement of the so-called election commission.
“On the day of the “expression of will”, the convict voted on the “camera”. In the propaganda video, the illegal referendum is a long-awaited event for the public of Luhansk and the students of the university“, added the Prosecutor General’s Office.
We will remind that in 2022, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed more than 30 educators-collaborators who brought together students in the occupation.
At the same time, educators who continue to teach children while under occupation will not be considered collaborators for the mere fact of teaching, the Ministry of Justice clarified.
