The salinity of sea water near Odessa beaches is more than two times lower than normal. Such results were found after taking water samples, Odesa City Hall reported. The situation is observed after Russian troops blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric plant. “In the samples of sea water taken on the beach “Langeron”, the salinity is 2.2 times below the norm; in the samples of the 16th station of V. Fontana, it is also 2.2 times,” the State Environmental Inspection of the South-Western District noted. A cholera-like vibrio was found in the water again, but it is not the causative agent of cholera, the Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported. Vibrio can provoke acute intestinal infections. “The sanitary situation is under constant control,” the state institution emphasized.
