On the territory of Luhansk region, which was occupied by the Russians in 2022, a critical situation with medicines has developed. There is no centralized delivery of medicines, so people look for medicines through the advertisements on the entrances.

About this reported Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Artem Lysohor on the air of “Social News”.

According to him, the Russians destroyed medicine and pharmaceuticals in the occupied territories as early as the beginning of 2022. At that time, the occupiers distributed medicine to people only when the propaganda media came to film it.

“Now the aggressor is not rebuilding anything, and the situation with the supply of medicines has become even more difficult, because people, of course, have less money during this time. Pensioners are no longer able to pay for the delivery of the medicines they need.” – says Lysohor.

According to him, there is no Internet and communication in most settlements. That is why in the temporarily occupied Rubizhnye, people who cannot find the necessary medicines stick notices on the entrances that some of the residents need certain medicines.

“There are some volunteers, probably, who deliver something. But at the moment there is no organized access to medicines in the territory about 60 kilometers from the contact line. This is a very big problem, and the enemy is not going to solve it in any way,” – says the head of OVA.

The Luhansk Regional State Administration also said that in 2023, LPR did not use 99% of the funds that were supposed to be used for medicines provided for in the reimbursement program. People were supposed to get them with preferential prescriptions, in particular, free of charge.

“They didn’t use it, because they didn’t want to. Due to the inaction of the local “Ministry of Health”, the population, which for many years became a participant in the reimbursement program, was forced to buy medical drugs necessary for life at their own expense. They were left with no choice.” – they say in the ODA.

We would like to remind you that there is a large shortage of medicines in the occupied territories, and the Russian Federation is blocking attempts to deliver them, we wrote in June 2022.
