Yulia met the war at home in Zastavna, Chernivtsi region.

“I took my eldest daughter to school, my son to kindergarten. I returned home and realized that I could not stay at home. I called my parents and told them that I was leaving maternity leave.” – says the woman.

She says that already in the afternoon of February 24, she was standing in the corral with a report that she was ready to undertake her duties.

At first, Yulia worked at the headquarters, but not finding herself, she transferred to the air fleet.

Later, the woman learned about the “Steel Border” brigade in the State Border Service.

“The boss really didn’t want to let me go, because he said that I don’t know where I’m going, but I gathered my thoughts and bags and left. Now I’m doing everything I can, as I think, to be useful to the country.” – says Yulia.

Currently, she holds the position of deputy commandant of one of the combat units of the 15th mobile border detachment.

Yulia was given the nickname “Witch” because of her, as it turned out, accurate predictions.

“It seems to me that in the rear sometimes they don’t imagine what kind of work women do in the army, and someone is sitting abroad and tightly holding a vyshyvanka in their hands.

I dream of seeing my children and hugging my relatives – that’s what I want the most.” – added the military.
