Shatun is a soldier of the National Guard of Ukraine. He was born in Sumy Oblast. Today, he takes an active part in the battles near Kreminna, where he performs many important tasks.

Shatun currently works as a driver-mechanic of an armored personnel carrier. Encountered a full-scale war in the 15th Slavic regiment. He got there after completing his military service.

“Sometimes it is very difficult. Sometimes the equipment can break down at a very inopportune moment. Then you need to react quickly to save yourself and the boys.” – says Shatun.
He also mentioned the defense of the city of Sloviansk, which is very important due to its position. He says that Russians could not be allowed into the city. But due to the fact that they were taking to the city center, they had to retreat.
We stayed on the outskirts of the city for a long time. Time passed and we were tasked to move in the direction of Kreminnaya, says Shatun.
Finally, he mentioned the evacuation measures in the Serebryan Forest. He says that it is very difficult there, because the fighters are constantly under fire.
“The enemy there is superior in artillery. The road is shot through. When you go to the position, there is no room for error because, relatively speaking, the enemy is 200 meters away. You don’t have time to jump to the point, and you are already covered. But we are standing, no one is going to run away “, Shatun emphasizes.
