The Ukrainian Orthodox Church (of the Moscow Patriarchate) did not sign the acts of acceptance and transfer of the state property of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra within the set deadline. This and all other obstacles will be added to the court case,” the minister wrote in his Telegram. And he added that according to the law, the church had to sign the act within three working days from the day of receipt. Tkachenko also said that at the beginning of July, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve is waiting for the decision of the Economic Court of Kyiv on the obligation of the UOC (MP) to remove obstacles to the use of state property. “The report of the MKIP Commission on the acceptance and transfer of property and the requirements of the reserve will be evidence of numerous violations committed by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, as well as the fact that representatives of the UOC obstructed the use of the property of the reserve in the court session,” the minister emphasized. She discovered violations on the part of the UOC MP and signed an act of acceptance and transfer of state property with the reserve. At the same time, the reserve sent the men’s monastery of the UOC MP a demand for immediate release, termination of use and return of all religious buildings and other state-owned property. In March 2023, the National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” terminated the agreement with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Ukraine on the free use of the Lavra in Kyiv, so the monks were forced to leave the monastery and all the buildings. But representatives of the UOC MP refused to do so. On March 29, the Commercial Court of Kyiv received a lawsuit from the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. In it, they demanded that the rejection of the contract with the UOC MP be declared invalid. On April 14, the new acting the general director of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve was appointed the ex-head of the Khortyts National Reserve Maksym Ostapenko. At the beginning of May, the MKIP reported that the commission had already transferred 16 buildings to the reserve of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, which is a third of the property used there by the UOC MP.
