The trailer of the debut full-length film of the Ukrainian director Kristina Tynkevych – a drama – is presented “How is Katya?” The film, which has already won awards at many film festivals, will be released on January 25, 2024.

The film tells the story of an ambulance doctor and a single mother Anna (played by Anastasia Karpenko). She is a support for her family, but an unexpected tragedy leaves the heroine alone with a cruel system and endless loss.
“The main character faces trauma. It goes through acceptance, experience, rethinking. And unfortunately, over the past year and a half, this is the experience that has become familiar to millions of people. Maybe this movie will be a therapeutic experience for someone“, Kristina Tynkevich said.
In addition to the lead actress Anastasia Karpenko, the film also starred: Kateryna Kozlova, Tetiana Krulikovska, Oleksiy Cherevatenko, Iryna Verenych-Ostrovska, Viktor Zhdanov and others.
The world premiere of Christina Tynkevich’s film took place at the 75th Locarno Film Festival in the Concorso Cineasti del presente competition program. There, the film received two awards: a special Ciné+ jury prize and a prize for best acting for Anastasia Karpenko.
The film was also awarded at the CinEast Festival in Luxembourg – the Film Critics Prize of the film festival.
The film also received the main prize in the section of the national feature film competition of the “Youth” festival and the “Scythian Deer” award.

In general, during this time, the film “How is Katya?” was seen by the audience at more than 30 film festivals around the world. Now he continues his journey through world competitions, and at the beginning of next year he will reach the Ukrainian audience.
