Soviet and Russian theater and film actress Irina Myroshnychenko died in Moscow at the age of 82. This is reported by TASS with reference to the rector of the Studio School of the Moscow Art Theater Igor Zolotovytskyi.
According to “Izvestiy”, she died in intensive care without regaining consciousness. Myroshnychenko was admitted to intensive care on July 30. According to the media, she was diagnosed with influenza with complications. It was reported that she had suffered a cardiac arrest and was in a medically induced coma on a ventilator.
Iryna Myroshnychenko was born on July 24, 1942 in Barnaul. She graduated from the Nemirovich-Danchenko Studio School at the Gorky Moscow Art Theater. Since 1965, she has served in this theater (since 2004, the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater). She played more than 40 roles in the theater. In 1964, the actress made her film debut in the film “I Walk in Moscow” directed by Georgy Danelia. Myroshnychenko starred in a total of 64 films, including the films “Andrei Rublev”, “Winter Cherry”, “Old New Year”. The actress was awarded the Order of Honor, “For Merit to the Fatherland” IV and III degrees, the Order of Friendship.
