Shmyhal also added that a letter was received from the Minister of Culture to the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, in which Tkachenko rejects the accusations made by the author of the petition. “The said petition does not contain any concrete facts regarding the activities of O. Subsequently, the Cabinet of Ministers explained such a response as a technical error in the system. Oleksandr Tkachenko, who headed 1+1 media in 2009-2018, was appointed Minister of Culture and Information Policy on June 4, 2020. On November 11, 2021, Tkachenko stated that he had written a resignation letter due to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to separate the State Cinema from the MKIP and the budget for culture for 2022. However, in the end, Tkachenko remained in office.
