Three men were arrested in the village of Manevichi in the Volyn region, who set up a scheme to extort money from relatives of missing servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is reported by the Main Department of the National Police of the region. According to law enforcement officers, the perpetrators called relatives of missing servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, introduced themselves as Russian servicemen, members of the private military company “Wagner” or other Russian formations, and offered to “return” Ukrainian servicemen from captivity for a monetary reward. The third participant, a 28-year-old resident of the village of Lokach, is under 24-hour house arrest.
