A teenager was tried in Khmelnytskyi region, who together with a friend tied a minor boy to a tree and mocked him. The boy was given a one-year probationary period, according to the verdict of the Shepetivskyi City District Court. According to the published case materials, on October 9, the accused, together with his friend, met two younger boys who asked them for a spinning wheel to go fishing. After that, the accused, who has already turned 16 years old, and his younger friend forced the children to go with them to the forest in the direction of the village of Lozichne, Shepetiv district. Photo: mikdam/Depositphotos One of the boys was released by the police, and the other was tied to a tree. “They tied him to a tree with black insulating tape, unbuttoned his jeans and, pulling the elastic band of his underpants, exposed the genitals of the young victim, after which he placed a frog there. Also, holding two nettle plants in his hand, they inflicted about 20 blows on the boy’s neck with its leaves with tied hands,” the case documents state. The perpetrators also threatened to kill his parents, and if “the boy tells someone about these events, he will be tied up again and will be treated even worse.” The boys took turns filming their actions on a mobile phone. As it turned out in court, in this way they wanted to scare the minor and “teach him for his defiant behavior.” In general, the boys were in the forest for about 15-20 minutes. In court, the accused confessed to the crime and asked for forgiveness from the victim. The boy was tried under the article on torture and illegal deprivation of liberty. The court found him guilty and sentenced him to two years of imprisonment, but released him from serving the sentence, limiting himself to one year of probation. It should be noted that there is no mention of the verdict of the accomplice, who was under 16 years old, in the materials of the court register. It is known that the boy also testified in court, in particular, he said that the incident in the forest was filmed on a phone, but he could not explain why.
