In Ukraine, they want to “create an information space without discrimination and stereotypes”, so they plan to compile a dictionary of “unwanted” vocabulary. It will contain recommendations on coverage of “sensitive topics”, said the Head of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting Olga Gerasimyuk in an interview with “Interfax-Ukraine”. “We have to form a media space free from discrimination, fixations of offensive and incorrect stereotypes and hate speech against any citizens of the country on many grounds,” she said. The result of these meetings should be the development of a dictionary of “unwanted” vocabulary and criteria for information that is inadmissible, as well as joint educational work for the media,” the head of the National Council emphasized.
