In Ukraine, the episeason will last from autumn to spring. Several respiratory viruses will be circulating during this time, including influenza and COVID-19. This was announced by the chief medical officer Ihor Kuzin at a briefing on September 5. “We expect several viruses this year. At the beginning of the epidemiological season, we will have a population of COVID-19, the number will increase. The circulation of the flu virus will begin in the second half of December,” he said. Ihor Kuzin added that the episeason will last approximately until April. It will also end with the circulation of the COVID-19 strains. Kuzin also drew attention to the fact that most Ukrainians have not yet received a booster dose of COVID-19.
