In Kyiv, the court sentenced two “fortune tellers” who stole a thousand hryvnias from a man.
Two residents of the Kyiv region, one of whom was repeatedly tried for theft, were sentenced to 7 years in prison, the capital’s prosecutor’s office reports.
The court punished the women for robbing a man in the parking lot of one of the capital’s hypermarkets.
Fraudsters approached a strange man who was driving and said that they were supposedly fortune tellers and could predict the future. While one woman was distracting the victim, the other snatched 1,000 hryvnias from his hands. After that, both “fortune tellers” ran away.

The perpetrators were identified and detained. They turned out to be residents of Kyiv region, one of whom has been repeatedly convicted of property crimes.
The verdict of the Sviatoshyn District Court of Kyiv found both defendants guilty of committing the incriminated offense. Each of them was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
