During the 14 months of the great war, the man fought in the Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, Kharkiv directions, was near Lysychansk, Bakhmut and Soledar. “As pilots, we are very maneuverable. We can be launched anywhere. In general, every pilot can share with you a very wide geography of their flights,” he says. And the 28-year-old pilot of the Armed Forces revealed the secret of why pilots wear leather jackets. “Most of us carry a large amount of aviation fuel, kerosene. When there is any disaster or a missile hit, the helicopter turns into such a hot barrel, if you have to sit down and run out – your entire uniform melts. That’s why we have gloves made of special non-combustible material, leather jackets, balaclava,” says the man. A 28-year-old pilot of the ZSU revealed the secret of why pilots wear leather jackets. A helicopter machine gunner also spoke about his work: “At the beginning of the great war, when there was no front line yet, we stopped Russian convoys. It was like this: if you see equipment with Z-marks – you will scream “. The events took place in the Mykolayiv region, because that is where the helicopter crew was located. “Now that the front line is clear and the troops are standing along it, my task is to report to the crew commander about the change in the situation,” the machine gunner adds. It happened that the helicopter fell into ambushes, there were bullet holes in the body, pierced blades, it flew into the area of the gearbox. “I was then covering the retreat. Everything was like in slow motion. I realized that I had to overcome this moment and survive, because I am responsible for the crew. Then I fired 250 rounds. This is enough for 20 seconds of barrage fire, just enough to retreat a kilometer and hide,” a man recalls one of the past battles.
