In the search area for the missing in the North Atlantic near the site of the sinking of the “Titanic” mini-submarine “Titan” wreckage was found on Thursday, the US Coast Guard reported.
According to the BBC, several parts of the bathyscaphe were allegedly found among the wreckage. This is a landing frame, a rear cover and a porthole. This was reported by expert David Mearns.
Officially, the ownership of the wreckage of the “Titan” apparatus has not yet been confirmed.

At noon Moscow time on Thursday, according to preliminary estimates, the oxygen on board the bathyscaphe, with which communication was lost a few days ago, was supposed to run out. The search, however, continues, as oxygen could theoretically last longer than expected.
American and Canadian military aircraft, coast guard ships and underwater robots are involved in the search. Searches focused on the place where underwater noises were detected earlier. The depth in the search area is up to 4 kilometers.
Contact with the “Titan” was lost on Sunday shortly after it began to descend towards the wreckage of the transatlantic liner “Titanic”, which sank in 1912. There were five people on board the bathyscaphe: including British businessman Hamish Harding, businessman from Pakistan Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman, founder of OceanGate Expeditions Stockton Rush and French submarine pilot Paul-Henri Nargolet.
