“Yandex Music” blocked the author of the song “Mozhno ya s toboi”

At the request of Roskomnadzor, “Yandex Music” has blocked the page of Belarusian performer AP$ENT in Russia. His song “Mozhno ya s toboi” takes the second place in the Russian chart.

The song about forced migration, recorded in 2022, went viral on TikTok in 2024. Touching videos with homeless animals are posted under it. They get millions of views.

The musician is glad that his song has become an “anthem for cats”, and hopes that thanks to it, “a wave of adoption of furry ones” will begin.

About the history of the song, AP$ENT said that he “just rhymed events from his life.” In 2022, his wife Maria was sentenced to one hour of restriction of freedom in Belarus for the word “shyzyk” under a post with a photo of Alexander Lukashenko in Telegram. At the trial, Maria insisted that her comment was a response to another user’s comment. After the verdict, the couple left for Georgia, “Kholod” reported.

  • Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia has blocked more than a million sites, including social networks Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (now X), as well as sites of independent media, including Radio Liberty. To bypass the blocks, Russians use VPN services, which are also blocked by the Russian authorities.
