16 Russian media resources were banned in Ukraine: which ones exactly

The National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting has expanded the list of media resources prohibited in Ukraine. 16 services of the aggressor state were added to it.

As the National Council reports, after monitoring and studying the materials, the regulator concluded that they meet the requirements of Section XI of the Law of Ukraine “On Media” and cannot be broadcast in Ukraine.

These are the following media services:

  • 24TV (24TV);
  • Amediateka (Amediateka);
  • Baskino;
  • Filmix;
  • HD REZKA;
  • KINOGO;
  • Kinokrad;
  • Kinotochka;
  • KinoZapas;
  • Kion;
  • See;
  • Guide Online;
  • Laim HD TV – free online TV (Laim HD TV – free online TV);
  • Smotreshka (Smotreshka);
  • Trikolor Kino and TV online (Trikolor Kino and TV online);
  • Tsifrovoe TV 20 kanalov besplatno (Tsifrovoe TV 20 kanalov besplatno).

It is noted that the decision to ban was made on the basis of the inconsistency of the ownership structure of these entities and their focus on the territory and audience of the aggressor state.

The National Council established that domain names from Russia are used to provide access to these services, and the default interface language is Russian. In addition, the rules of use and policy of these media services are based on the national legislation of the Russian Federation.

The regulator also says that these resources direct posted advertising to the audience of the aggressor state, and also broadcast programs in Ukraine, the participant of which is a person included in the List of persons who pose a threat to national security.

In total, 22 media resources have been added to the list of services of the aggressor state, the National Council says.

We will remind you that we previously wrote that about 5% of mass media sites do not have a Ukrainian version.
