He studied very well, was interested in learning, worked, had time to give birth to a son. Not everyone is given that. He always remained sincere, friendly, his comrades spoke very well of him. He was the leader of the group,” – says Olena Rudenko, head of the department of accounting and taxation. 21-year-old Danylo Kornilov died in a warehouse in Kryvyi Rih on June 13. On June 16, Danylo was supposed to defend his thesis, and then he planned to enroll in a master’s degree. The guy has already registered to take the tests. “Tomorrow we will have the defense of the qualification papers, where he was supposed to defend the bachelor’s thesis. We still plan to conduct the defense of this thesis in the examination board, and the rector advocates that we issue a diploma so that his family can receive it. Danylo is worthy of this . His work was ready, there is a supervisor’s review, but everything did not happen as we wanted. It is very difficult to realize that such a young person will no longer be close to his family or in the student family,” says the head of the department. Danylo was last seen at the university a few days ago. He was very happy that he would soon receive a diploma, recalls Olena Rudenko. “The man created a family. When I started a conversation, asked “how is your son”, he said “yes, I don’t sleep”, but such eyes are joyful. He was responsible and knew what to strive for. There were many plans, he them shared. Now a lot of people are dying, but when you know this young person, it hurts a lot,” the woman adds. This water was delivered to the region affected by the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP. “Danilo died at work. He worked part-time at drinking water warehouses, on shift. The guys were just loading water for Kherson. It was the last night shift,” says Olena Rudenko. Currently, it is not known whether they will be able to issue a diploma to Danyla posthumously, but the department wants to do it in memory of the student. “We will make such a proposal tomorrow. Moreover, there is a diploma, there is a supervisor’s review, the work has been cleared of plagiarism, there is only his presence. This is a forecast, I cannot say now that the decision has been made. Tomorrow, after the defense procedure, we plan to apply for a scientific council, after all, that his diploma should be issued to his family. Although it will not help, but to at least somehow symbolically emphasize that Danylo has completed his studies,” adds the head of the department.
