67% of Ukrainians support equal rights for the LGBT community – survey

67% of surveyed Ukrainians agree that LGBT representatives should have equal rights with other citizens. This is stated in a survey of the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS). This indicator has increased compared to 2022 by 2%. At the same time, the number of opponents remained constant – 26%. Photo: raulmellado/Depositphotos Even among those who generally have a negative view of LGBT people, 47% agree that they should have the same rights as all citizens. 28% of respondents support the introduction of a registered partnership without the right to adopt, while 39% oppose it. The total number of respondents who answered “yes” and “indifferent” regarding registered partnerships is 54%, which is more than the number of opponents. In 2022, the situation was slightly worse: 24% supported and 42% did not support the idea. Among the category of those who generally do not care about LGBT people, 30% support registered partnerships, and 40% said they do not care.
